Eric Furman
Blue Island: 08/17/13
Eric was ten years into a career as a writer of children's books and magazine articles when he decided to take an upholstery class. In an effort to practice sewing heavy fabrics, he began to make leather bags - and he was hooked on a new way to channel his creativity. Eric and his wife, Kellie, soon launched Fair Coast Goods & Upholstery, where he works with leather, canvas, and other natural materials to create bags, wallets, and carry goods. For Eric, there's nothing more thrilling than the relentless creative cycle: imagine, create, edit, improve.

Amanda is a fine artist that is very interested in the process of art making, which she views as intimate and meditative. Her meticulous drawings attest to those beliefs. She received her Master's Degree from Columbia College in Art and Design and is always immersing herself in new art endeavors. Whether that be as a founding member for an Arts Council, in her small south side town or showing at the Pilsen Art Walk. At Pearl she will be showcasing sketchbooks and small one-of-a-kind paintings.

Bridget Scales-Fennessy
Andersonville 11/30/12
Bridget is mainly a ceramicist and an oil painter, but as many artists do she dabbles in many mediums. Since she is a teacher, currently for high school students, she has to stay on top of her game in all art arenas. She graduated from Eastern Illinois University and has a Master's degree in painting from Governors State University. She has been teaching art for seventeen years in the South Burbs, which has allowed her to stay to share her passion with blooming artists. At this Pearl she will be showcasing some of her ceramic pieces, including her invented contraption that is both incense holder and vase! Additionally, she will have some oil paintings. All proceeds from this Pearl venture will go towards her first child's college fund, or maybe some new art supplies.
